Homecoming Week is almost here at Kearney High School! KHS students are getting ready to Race to Homecoming with a full week of spirit days, activities and Bulldog traditions from Sept. 21-26.Students are encouraged to join the fun with these Homecoming Spirit Days:

Monday, Sept. 21 – Late Night Gas Station Stop: Pajama Day. Wear PJs, sweats and other comfy clothes.

Tuesday, Sept. 22 – Miami Grand Prix: Beachy/Tropical Day. Think Hawaiian shirts, flip-flops and other tropical attire.

Wednesday, Sept. 23 – Race to the Grid: Class Color Day. Seniors: pink; Juniors: green; Sophomores: blue.

Thursday, Sept. 24 – Day at the Races: Race Day. Dress like a pit crew member, driver or mechanic, or break out the country/NASCAR gear.

Friday, Sept. 25 – HOCO 500: Show your Bulldog pride with purple and gold!
There are also plenty of Homecoming activities throughout the week:
- On Tuesday, Sept. 22, KHS will hold its Homecoming Assembly, where the princes and princesses will be crowned and the King and Queen candidates will be announced.
- The Powder Puff game begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, with the Homecoming King coronation taking place at halftime.
- Friday, Sept. 25, is Homecoming Day! KHS students will have a half day with dismissal at 10:35 a.m., followed by the KHS Pep Assembly. The annual Homecoming Parade begins at 2 p.m., and the Bulldogs take the field for the Homecoming football game at 7 p.m. The Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime.
- The celebration wraps up with the Homecoming Dance from 8-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Kearney High School. Admission is $15.
