Kearney High School

Dr. Andrew Gustafson started his teaching career as a social studies and science teacher at the Junior High level. Originally from Kearney, Dr. Gustafson attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville and earned a bachelor’s degree in Middle School Education. He later earned a Masters in Secondary Administration and a Specialists degree from Northwest as well. Dr. Gustafson earned his Doctorate of Education from William Woods University in 2020.

In 2006, Dr. Gustafson was named Assistant Principal at Kearney Middle School.  He then became Assistant Principal at Kearney Junior High in 2008 and Principal of Kearney Junior High in 2010. Dr. Gustafson has been the Principal of Kearney High School since the 2019/2020 school year. 

Dr. Gustafson is married and has three children.  His wife is a special education teacher at Kearney Middle School.
