A diverse group of young people in formal attire and medals pose for a photo in a well-lit hallway.
Kearney High School's contingent proved they are ready to take command during the annual Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) District Leadership Conference on Monday, Feb. 2, at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Forty KHS FBLA members competed at this event, which included tests, speeches, interviews and prepared presentations. State qualifiers will attend the three-day State Leadership Conference in April. Wildcard spots are still being determined.

KHS also had a student run for a district office. We are proud to announce that junior Laken Staab was selected as the District 4 FBLA President.

"He will not only be representing our school as an officer but also the entire district!" KHS FBLA Sponsor Alyssa Stevens said. "Our Bulldog squad did such an amazing job this year. They worked hard and earned great results."

Join us in congratulating all of these KHS students for their success!
