Kearney School District is declaring a “Red Snow Day” with no school on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in order to celebrate the victory of the Kansas City Chiefs over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII!

This decision to cancel classes will allow our employees and families to enjoy the planned Super Bowl championship parade that will be held that day in downtown Kansas City. As always, we encourage everyone to celebrate in a safe and responsible manner.

We also want you to know that Monday, Feb. 20 will remain a holiday with no school. Please keep in mind that we are still reserving Monday, April 10 as a possible make-up day. We will share a decision about that day as soon as possible.
